From the balcony, at night, Julia and Gaia watched summer basketball games played in Campo dei Fiori. While Gaia cheered the plays, Julia was amazed by the effort of the players on the court, the speed of the ball and the beauty of the game. Later, in bed, she would dream of players running and passing and shooting and blocking before falling in a deeper, dreamless sleep.
