Returning home from the thermal pool of Campo Vignoni, Gaia felt suddenly Julia’s pain. She screamed and cried and was relieved only when, at home, she felt her mother’s embrace. In that same instant Julia’s body was lifted from the boat and carried to the Wooden Temple.
