Julia asked Alex the house builder about a hall shaped as a musical instrument.

Frank Berlins, half a century ago, built the first lute shaped hall, where the tiniest sound was heard perfectly from every seat. It took him thirty years to make it perfect. He built seven halls in total and since he died nobody has been able to build anything like them. Berlins is now recognized for his unique hearing abilities and for his building process, as he changed the shape of the construction by ear, adding and removing volume while listening to music.

I think if this blog were a book, I would buy it to gaze upon it and ponder the stories. I very much look forward to it.

This is the ONLY blog where I never want to miss a post. Your drawings are fabulous…and your stories are unapologetically unique.

Definitely agree with Bill (above) – I hope you can compile your work into a book one day – it would be tempting for small people, and maybe others, to want to colour in (: This morning I went out and photographed a building – looking up along one aspect into the sky – so this is like a little synapse snapping.
