When the water level receded, it was construction time all over again. The underwater city, abandoned for a century, was rediscovered. Bridges, terraces, whole buildings were repaired. People moved from areas close to the forest to the inner parts of the city, in the portions of buildings emerging from the water. Bridges became walkways in the air.
