Fishtrain stations in Tokyo were art displays wine cellars, cisterns and clothing stores. Jewelers had underground studios, alongside textile studios, wood and metal shops. The variety of food displayed in hundreds of small stalls was bewildering. People would spend time at the stations for the excitement. Julia drew the people, the shops, the food, everything she saw.
