September, 1798. Ferdinand Island disappears under the sea after a brief earthquake.
Summer, before time. The hero lands on an uncharted island, lacking altitude and water sources, gets temporarily lost in its thick vegetation and barely regains his ship, in the midst of water currents that make the island unstable. Years later, in the same waters, there would be no trace of the island.
