About forty years ago a man died, leaving thirteen hand-written notebooks. A woman bought one of them from an antique street vendor and showed it to the major of the island where she lived, Michael Fiorello. Fiorello scouted for the missing notebooks until he was able to put together all thirteen of them. Later, the notebooks became known as the Magnetic Notebooks.
