When he sailed, the only thing that mattered was paying attention, when he fought ,the only thing that mattered was paying attention, when nothing seemed to happen, if he paid attention, he saw life around him and when he kept paying attention he eventually saw himself part of it. He had no plan for there was no plan. If he had a plan it would have failed right away. He had been a planner when he was young, before he discovered attention, then he stopped planning and he simply did what was necessary following what happened.
